We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to provide exceptional support to our healthcare team at Christus Health. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a caring demeanor, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care by assisting physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in delivering medical services.
- Accurately enter patient data, register patients, and update patient accounts with precision and attention to detail.
- Verify insurance coverage and maintain accurate records to ensure seamless patient care.
- Coordinate patient appointments, answer phone calls, and keep providers informed to ensure efficient communication.
- Explain patient benefits and provide exceptional customer service to patients and families.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed to support the healthcare team.
Requirements:
Education/Skills:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
- 1 year of medical office experience is preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
- Must hold a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification in the state of employment.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
Work Schedule:
5 Days a Week, 8 Hours per Day
Work Type:
Full-Time
