Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Program Aide to join our team at Save the Children. As a Program Aide, you will play a vital role in providing educational, relational, and social experiences for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, fostering their growth and development in all domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist classroom staff in all classroom activities, including lesson planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Support the Teacher in various aspects of the program, such as Family Nights, newsletter preparation, and classroom materials.
  • Provide custodial support as needed, including cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs.
  • Assist with kitchen duties, such as food preparation, serving, and clean-up.
  • Participate in food service tasks, including inventory and sanitation.
  • May serve as a substitute in the absence of the Assistant Teacher or Teacher.
  • Attend workshops, meetings, and training sessions as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Save the Children's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Certification as applicable by federal, state, or local Head Start or child care regulations.
  • Basic first aid and pediatric CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to relate sensitively with children and work effectively with staff, parents, and families.
  • Proven ability to follow directions and take initiative.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to Save the Children's policies and procedures.
