Principal Communications Network Manager/Engineer

The Applied Research Associates (ARA) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Communications Network Manager/Engineer to support the development and application of cutting-edge high-performance computing (HPC) software and network architectures.
This position will be part of the Capital Area Division (CAD) team, supporting the Navy in the development and application of HPC software and network architectures. The successful candidate will work closely with the Office of Naval Research and the Naval Research Laboratory to design, implement, test, and maintain HPC high-speed communication networks and IP infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HPC network communications, with experience in the design, build, and deployment of IP infrastructure and related telecommunications, products, and technology. They will also have experience with Radius and Kerberos, as well as strong Linux experience.
The Required Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Years of recent and relevant work experience in HPC network communications
- DoD TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility
The Desired Qualifications for this position include:
- 20+ years of experience in HPC network communications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience working with/for DoD Service laboratories
This position is a contingent upon the award of a contract supporting the Naval Research Laboratory. The work location will be on-site in the National Capital Region, from ARA facilities, and via telecommuting when approved.
