Job Overview:

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Security Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for leading the HSM Management, supporting its technologies, processes, usage, and project initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HSM Management team, ensuring the successful implementation and maintenance of HSM technologies.
  • Develop and maintain process and technical documentation regarding lifecycle, configuration, and STIG requirements.
  • Collaborate with other cryptography teams to select the best solutions involving HSMs.
  • Perform and lead encryption key ceremonies as a key security officer.
  • Test and document new versions of HSM hardware and firmware.
  • Stay up-to-date with internal and industry standards and regulatory environment, updating plans and programs as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relative experience in security and cryptography.
  • 5+ years of experience with symmetric and asymmetric cryptography concepts and technologies.
  • 8+ years in the encryption and key management security discipline.
  • 5+ years managing Utimaco and Thales HSMs.
  • 5+ years working with Microsoft Windows Server, active directory, networking protocols, etc.
  • 3+ years' experience performing encryption key ceremonies as a key security officer.
  • DoD 8140/8570 IAT level II compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance, with SCI eligibility.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $165,000-$225,000.
  • Full benefits package, including Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, etc.
