Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the strategic federal engagement on specific initiatives, emphasizing the advantages of improved transmission planning.
  • Facilitate a collaborative working group to address the challenges and prospects of high-voltage direct current transmission deployment.
  • Assist in forming a coalition of diverse organizations and businesses focused on national security and manufacturing interests.
  • Contribute to the creation of high-quality written materials, including briefs, opinion pieces, and presentations, in collaboration with internal and external experts.
  • Support the Government Affairs team in transmission-related initiatives as required.
  • Help disseminate materials to allied organizations effectively.
  • Track essential grant deliverables and outreach efforts to current and potential supporters.
  • Promote support among policymakers and stakeholders for a nationally integrated transmission grid.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams to align with ACORE's mission and objectives.
  • Prepare content for ACORE's website, reports, newsletters, and other publications.
  • Stay informed about trends in renewable energy and transmission.
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience in advocacy, policy, or political campaigns.
  • Proven ability to lead coalitions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
