Department Overview

The Wellstar College School of Nursing is dedicated to transforming lives through education. As the largest nursing program in north Georgia, it boasts exceptional first-time pass rates on the National Council Licensure Examination. Established over 45 years ago, the Wellstar School of Nursing offers baccalaureate and master's degrees, consistently ranked by U.S. News & World Report. The school employs over 70 committed nursing faculty and clinical specialists.


Position Summary

Kennesaw State University is seeking applications for full-time, non-tenure track Limited Term Instructor or Limited Term Assistant Professor of Nursing positions within the Wellstar School of Nursing. The rank will be determined upon hiring, based on the candidate's experience. This role involves teaching responsibilities in undergraduate or graduate courses.


Key Responsibilities

The selected candidates will report to the Director of the Wellstar School of Nursing and will primarily focus on teaching in both classroom and clinical settings. Opportunities for service on departmental committees may also be available.

Teaching assignments will align with the candidates' academic qualifications and adhere to SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications for Undergraduate Courses:

  • A Master's degree or its foreign equivalent in Nursing.

Required Qualifications for Graduate Courses:

  • A Terminal/Doctorate degree or its foreign equivalent in Nursing or a related field.

Additionally, candidates must possess:

  • A clinical background in areas such as adult health, community health, psychiatric/mental health, parent/child, or women's health nursing, along with experience in skills and simulation labs.
  • An active RN license in Georgia or eligibility for licensure.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous teaching experience.
  • Capability to teach in various modalities, including face-to-face, online, or hybrid formats.
