We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director, Development and Advancement to join our team at InsideHigherEd. This is a key leadership position that will play a critical role in advancing the university's fundraising efforts and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including university leaders, faculty, staff, and alumni.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the university to advance fundraising efforts and achieve strategic goals.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports to track fundraising progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and maximize fundraising effectiveness.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in securing major gifts and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in a related field, such as business, non-profit management, or higher education.
  • CFRE certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a higher education or non-profit setting.
