The Certified Pharmacy Technician II provides critical support to our pharmacists by reviewing, compounding, and dispensing medications in a fast-paced pharmaceutical warehouse setting. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Fulfill medication and supply orders for distribution to hospitals and clinics within our health system.
- Staff for a minimum of one full weekend per month, ensuring seamless operations.
- Coordinate shipments to customers using multiple couriers and shipment pathways, ensuring compliance with temperature requirements.
- Document pharmaceutical distribution activities, quality control requirements, and other relevant data using automated and paper systems.
- Respond to and triage requests from customers for assistance with pharmacy distribution or compounding services.
- Utilize automated dispensing technology and related computer software to fulfill customer orders.
- Receive, restock, and rotate inventory, and complete expiration date management.
- Contribute to process improvement projects and participate in regulatory compliance inspections.
- Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy (unless enrolled in a PharmD program).
- CPhT certification from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA (unless enrolled in a PharmD program).
- Prior pharmacy technician experience and inventory management experience are preferred.
This role requires standing for extended periods, lifting at least 40 pounds repeatedly, and reaching overhead to access shelved product. A safe and healthy work environment is ensured by following proper protocols and procedures.
