Job Summary

The General Manager is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the success of our stores. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates, driving sales and profitability, and maintaining effective expense and payroll budget management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware, proactively assist customers in solving problems, and ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly and courteously.
  • Store Operations: Supervise the general operations of the store, ensure compliance with all practices, policies, and procedures, and maintain effective inventory management and merchandising practices.
  • Leadership: Develop and lead a high-performing team, provide coaching and training, and foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Financial Management: Manage payroll and other controllable expenses, and ensure compliance with budget and financial targets.
Requirements
  • High School or GED equivalent
  • Previous retail management experience, hardware experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing, walking, lifting (up to 25lbs), and climbing
