Job Summary

Center for Human Development is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Assistant Manager to join our team in a residential group home setting. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with mental health and substance abuse histories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the overall management of a 24-hour staffed group apartment building, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents.
  • Supervise and mentor direct care staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Implement and monitor client treatment plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, providing 24/7 support and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Oversee clinical documentation and the utilization of electronic health records, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Serve as a liaison between external providers, community partners, and internal stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and collaborative partnerships.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years' experience working with the target population, with a strong understanding of their unique needs and challenges.
  • Supervisory experience preferred, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and electronic health records systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, or counseling.
  • Reliable automobile and valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible weekend and evening hours, as needed.
