Manager/Assistant Manager (Advanced Communications) #PublicService
In this role, you will provide essential support to key office bearers by collaborating with their respective Press Secretaries and the Director of the Advanced Communications Department to ensure the efficient management of public communications and events.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing media relations and logistical planning for both local and international engagements attended by office holders. This encompasses events, media interviews, courtesy visits, and state visits by foreign dignitaries. Additionally, you will contribute to content creation, which involves drafting speeches, media releases, and messages for publications and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of local events and media relations
- Logistical arrangements for incoming and outgoing visits by dignitaries
- Monitoring and analyzing media coverage, along with media relationship building
- Content development and messaging
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in public relations, communications, or event management
- Proficient in both written and spoken English
- Effectively bilingual
- Strong understanding of current affairs, both international and domestic
- A genuine interest in event management
- Enjoys engaging with diverse groups of stakeholders
- Willingness to travel internationally and work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- A collaborative team player with attention to detail
