Key Responsibilities- Conduct construction observations and document activities in a daily log.
- Communicate with contractors and project managers regarding construction activities.
- Assist engineers and senior designers with project design and construction plan development using engineering software such as Topo Dot – Micro Station, AutoCAD Civil3D, and ArcGIS.
- Gather field survey data to determine precise locations and measurements using electronic survey instruments like GPS and Total Station.
- Extract feature lines from LiDAR point clouds.
- Travel to various job sites to collect survey data and site information.
- Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, GIS, or Land Surveying program from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD is preferred.
- Able to work extended periods in outdoor conditions.
- Above-average math and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
