Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist Intern, Machine Perception for Input and Interaction to join our team at Meta. As a researcher in this role, you will design and execute algorithms in computer vision, machine learning, and related fields. Your work will contribute to the development of next-generation interaction technologies for virtual and augmented reality.

Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include designing and executing algorithms, collaborating with researchers, communicating research progress and results, and participating in user studies and experiments. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of topics, including tracking, pose estimation, action/emotion recognition, computer graphics, sensor fusion, and more.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a PhD degree in EE/CS, Applied Math or a related STEM field. You should also have experience in one or more areas such as computer vision, computer graphics, robotics, machine learning, natural language processing, or human-computer interaction. Excellent communication skills and high levels of creativity and problem-solving capabilities are essential for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
A proven track record of achieving significant results through grants, fellowships, patents, or first-authored publications is desirable. Demonstrated software engineering experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories is also preferred. Experience working on high-volume multi-sensor streaming data processing and real-time multi-sensor, camera fusion for computer vision and machine learning systems is an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this role is $7,800/month to $11,293/month, plus benefits. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes stock awards, bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits, such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and flexible paid time off.
