Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Sherman and Reilly Inc. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and producing component parts into completed units, adhering to the bill of materials and production documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Production: Assemble and produce component parts into completed units, adhering to the bill of materials and production documents.
  • Quality Control: Inspect parts using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, or other inspection equipment.
  • Tool Maintenance: Ensure all company-supplied tools are properly stored in cabinets daily.
  • Collaboration: Assist quality in testing and other efforts as required.
  • Adaptability: Conduct rope winding as necessary and assist in maintaining acceptable performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety, and housekeeping.
  • Communication: Perform all other assigned duties as instructed by supervision.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree.
  • Experience: 6 months' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Mathematical Skills: Perform basic mathematical calculations at a high school level.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
