Assembly Planning Intern

The Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Planning Intern to join our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. As an Assembly Planning Intern, you will be responsible for managing projects in an automotive manufacturing environment, meeting and/or exceeding company goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects in an automotive manufacturing environment, meeting and/or exceeding company goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement new and series product pre-planning concepts, including investment planning.
  • Develop specifications for new and existing manufacturing equipment and tooling.
  • Support in process/product development and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated with an Engineering degree.
  • Mechanical/Electrical experience.
  • MS Office skills (Excel, PPT, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical writing experience.
  • PLC programming/automation experience.
  • MicroStation and/or Catia Software experience.
  • 3D Printing experience.
  • Ergonomic assist experience.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Junior: $18/hour.
  • Senior or Graduate: $20/hour.
  • 2 days of paid time off per term.
