Job Description

Certified Support Staff focuses on promoting student success by responding to identified needs through the implementation of comprehensive programs and services that help guide all learners in their academic success, personal and social development, and career and college planning and readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students enrolling in concurrent enrollment
  • Work with community colleges on having a Memorandum of Understanding for a partnership with both Colorado Preparatory Academy (COPA) and Pikes Peak Online School (PPOS)
  • Assist students with selection of appropriate academic and CRE course; Coordinate career planning activities in classrooms, groups, or individual sessions
  • Provide and coordinate administration and interpretation of career assessments
  • Provide information on postsecondary education programs and employment opportunities; Assist students with postsecondary education and employment opportunities
  • Facilitate work-based learning opportunities; Provide and coordinate activities for students to develop employability skills
  • Promote the integration of career research and work-based learning opportunities into CRE and academic courses; Promote the use of technology for career planning and research
  • Serve as a liaison with the business, industry, education, and military community facilitating business, education, and community partnerships that provide opportunities for students and support CRE
  • Publicize partnership resources
  • Participate in professional development activities at the local, regional, state, and national levels; Engage in professional growth opportunities to remain current with trends, demands, and emerging careers in a rapidly changing workforce
  • Assist with activities that ensure program funding and compliance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three (3) years of CRE experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to clear required background check
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Experience as an on-line / virtual educator; Experience with CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organizations)
Compensation and Benefits

Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.

Exempt (salary): Post annual salary We anticipate the salary range to be $52, $66, Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
