Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Medical Imaging Specialist , you will play a crucial role in diagnosing patient conditions by operating imaging equipment to create diagnostic images. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for procedures, ensuring proper positioning, and adjusting equipment settings for optimal image quality.

  • Maintain the quality and production standards of imaging services by adhering to established protocols.
  • Document patient care activities accurately in medical records.
  • Review imaging results for technical precision and ensure proper anatomical orientation.
  • Assist medical professionals in administering medications and contrast agents as needed.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to meet departmental needs.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent military training in Radiologic Technology.
  • Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and state licensure.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Membership in the American Society of Radiologic Technologists is preferred.
