Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a CT Imaging Specialist, you will operate CT machinery to generate cross-sectional images of patients' anatomical structures, which are essential for diagnosing medical conditions. You will prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them to obtain optimal images as requested by the physician.

  • You will accurately interpret a physician's imaging directives, administer contrast materials, and prepare and operate the CT imaging equipment.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medications and contrast agents, performing biopsies, and providing comprehensive care to patients.
  • Prepare examination rooms for CT imaging and/or invasive procedures.
  • Monitor the inventory of supplies during room rotations and ensure cleanliness of the examination areas.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment commencement.
  • ARRT-CT certification is preferred.
  • Experience in CT imaging is preferred.
