Job Title: Dental Assistant

About the Role:
Monticciolo Family and Sedation Dentistry, PLLC is seeking a highly skilled and energetic Dental Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our dental office, you will provide exceptional chair-side clinical support and assistance to our doctors and hygienists, ensuring a seamless patient experience.

Responsibilities:
• Provide superior clinical support and assistance to doctors and hygienists, including charting, patient education, and operatory setup and cleanup.
• Manage patient flow, redirecting efforts to respond to changes, prioritize next operatory room for doctors, and update doctors on patient status.
• Welcome and greet patients in the reception area, providing a personal introduction, including name and position.
• Take and process X-rays, perform patient hand-offs, and enter and update patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating doctor using our company's operational system.
• Verify patient clinical service needs were exceeded and take appropriate action when visits do not meet expectations.
• Escort patients to check-out, complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory, and monitor laboratory cases to ensure they are ready for the next day's schedule.
• Maintain emergency kits and first aid supplies, emergency medications, and oxygen tanks, and follow maintenance schedules for the processor, autoclave, and compressor on a weekly basis.
• Identify, report, and follow up on any maintenance issues in the office, including dental equipment and handpieces, and maintain and update the MSDS binder.
• Follow OSHA regulations and MFSD safety requirements, including compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.
• Maintain and update annual CE requirements as specified by the state, and perform miscellaneous other duties as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of job-related experience, with additional years of dental assistant experience highly welcome.
• State requirements where specified.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, patient, and team member focused.
