High Profile Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at Monticciolo Family and Sedation Dentistry, PLLC. This is a salaried position that involves traveling to various locations on a rotating schedule. The ideal candidate will have current Dental Assistant experience, reliable transportation, and the ability to work directly with our owner and his team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provides superior chair-side clinical support and assisting to Doctors and Hygienists, including charting, patient education, and Operatory set-up and clean-up.
• Manages patient flow, prioritizes next Operatory room for the Doctors, and updates the Doctors on the patients status.
• Welcomes and greets patients in the reception area and provides a personal introduction including name and position.
• Takes and processes X-Rays, performs patient hand-offs, and enters and updates patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating Doctor using the company operational system.
• Verifies the patients clinical service needs were exceeded and takes appropriate action when visits do not meet expectations.
• Escorts the patient to check-out, completes sterilization processes for equipment and Operatory, and monitors all laboratory cases and ensures they are ready for the next days schedule.
• Maintains emergency kits and first aid supplies, emergency medications, and oxygen tank, and follows maintenance schedules for the processor, autoclave, and compressor on a weekly basis.
• Identifies, reports and follows up on any maintenance issues in the office including dental equipment and hand pieces, and maintains and updates the MSDS binder.
• Follows OSHA regulations and MFSD safety requirements, including compliance with HIPPA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.
• Maintains and updates annual CE requirements as specified by the state, and performs miscellaneous other duties as directed by supervisor.
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year job related experience required, with state requirements where specified.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, Doctors, and other team members.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time, with regular breaks as needed.
• Must be able to pass a background check and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
