Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team at Florida OMFS LLC. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide exceptional chair-side support to our doctors, ensuring a seamless and efficient patient experience.
Responsibilities- Provide superior clinical support to doctors, including charting, patient education, and operatory setup and clean-up.
- Manage patient flow, redirecting efforts as needed to respond to changes and prioritize the next operatory room for doctors.
- Welcome and greet patients in the reception area, providing a personal introduction and ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take and process X-rays, and perform patient hand-offs as needed.
- Enter and update patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating doctor using our company's operational system.
- Verify that patient clinical service needs were exceeded and take appropriate action when visits do not meet expectations.
- Escort patients to check-out and complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory.
- Monitor laboratory cases and ensure they are ready for the next day's schedule.
- Maintain emergency kits and first aid supplies, emergency medications, and oxygen tanks.
- Follow maintenance schedules for the processor, autoclave, and compressor weekly.
- Identify, report, and follow up on any maintenance issues in the office, including dental equipment and handpieces.
- Follow OSHA regulations and MFSD safety requirements, including compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Job-Related Experience: Minimum 1 year of job-related experience required.
- Physical Requirements: Mostly walking, talking, standing, and updating information in computer systems.
- Background check required.
