Job Title: GMC Assistant Marketing Manager

This role is categorized as hybrid, requiring the successful candidate to report to GM Global Technical Center - Cadillac Tower at least three times a week.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for relevant GMC models, including positioning, pricing, packaging, messaging, and cross-functional marketing activities.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Expertise (Media, Site, Social, CRM, Sales, Product, and Finance) to refine strategies and plans.
  • Interface with the research community to develop and leverage insights for current and future products.
  • Participate in trade-off decisions and conflict resolution between Centers of Expertise.
  • Develop communications messages based on critical product attributes and market trends.
  • Analyze data with cross-functional communications to Sales Ops, Regional Teams, and Finance on pricing, incentive strategy, and execution.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in divisional marketing, product marketing, sales, and/or marketing COE functional experience.
  • Proven working experience in project management.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to work well in a complex team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and prioritization to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to synthesize data into critical information.
  • Ability to make/recognize effective trade-off decisions that balance multiple considerations.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Highly developed presentation skills both in the development and delivery of presentations.
  • Proven ability to use complex data to form in-depth analytical insights.
  • High level of expertise within Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel, 10-15% domestically.
