The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and contributing to the advancement of patient care and nursing scholarship within the School of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and contribute to the advancement of patient care and nursing scholarship within the School of Nursing
- Develop and implement research programs that align with the School's mission and vision
- Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in nursing science
- Secure extramural funding for research and scholarship
- Contribute to the development of the School's curriculum and academic programs
- PhD in Nursing Science or a related field
- Eligibility for appointment at least at the rank of Assistant Professor tenure-track
- Experience in research and scholarship in nursing science
- Excellent teaching and mentoring skills
- Ability to secure extramural funding for research and scholarship
- Experience in genomics, community-based participatory work, self and family illness management, HIV and infectious diseases, child health, and social determinants of health
- Expertise in grant writing and securing extramural funding
- Interest and demonstrated expertise in teaching identified courses that complement the programs of study at the School of Nursing
