Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Systems Supervisor to join our team at the United States Fleet Forces Command. As a key member of our Life Cycle Management Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Over-The-Horizon (OTH) radar systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the successful development and implementation of OTH radar systems.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of OTH radar systems, including operational requirements, engineering design, and system capabilities.
  • Prepare and investigate equipment/system problems surfaced through the Investigation Request (IR) and System Trouble Report (STR) process.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of ten departmental personnel, including direct supervision of two GS-13 Division Heads.
  • Develop work plans, make work assignments, review work, develop performance standards, and evaluate work performance of subordinates.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in electronics and experience in managing technical projects. You should also have excellent supervisory skills, including the ability to manage personnel, develop work plans, and handle budgetary and financial management related to long-term project planning.

In addition to your technical skills and experience, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including engineers, technicians, and senior management.
