Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the Dining Area: Clean and set tables, including arranging decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
- Maintain Sanitation and Safety: Ensure adherence to sanitation and safety policies to safeguard the establishment and patrons.
- Menu Presentation: Maintain the presentation of menus by keeping them clean, replacing damaged pages, cleaning chalkboards, and updating specials.
- Table Settings: Monitor table settings, removing finished courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling water glasses promptly. Remain attentive to any spills or special needs of guests.
- Support the Wait Staff: Assist the wait staff by setting up and restocking condiment stands, trash containers, and bus stations.
- Closing the Dining Facility: Clean chairs and tables, sweep or vacuum floors, and dispose of trash and recyclables.
- Job Knowledge: Stay updated on job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
- Reputation: Contribute to the organization's reputation by taking ownership of tasks, accepting new challenges, and seeking ways to enhance job performance.
- Guest Experience: Anticipate guests' needs and provide proactive assistance to enhance their dining experience.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food delivery and service flow.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining inventory of dining supplies and report shortages or damages as necessary.
- Departmental Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments, such as housekeeping, to ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the dining area.
- Guest Liaison: Act as a liaison between guests and management, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Busser in a café, restaurant, or hotel setting.
- Attitude and Commitment: Positive attitude and a strong commitment to providing excellent service.
- Service-Oriented Mindset: Service-oriented mindset with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledgeable about practices within the Food & Beverage/Hospitality industry.
