We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound imaging examinations and procedures under the supervision of a radiologist or provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Competently perform ultrasound imaging examinations and procedures, recognizing cross-sectional anatomy and providing excellent customer service.
- Use the RIS/PACS and HIS systems for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of patient results.
- Meet the minimum education and work experience requirements, including a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in general abdominal ultrasound, OB/GYN, pelvic, transvaginal, breast, carotid/venous studies, and small parts.
- Hold current certifications, including ARDMS certified or ARDMS eligible, and BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
- Participate in rotation for weekend and call coverage, demonstrating a willingness to adapt to changing schedules.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program if hired after 2002.
- Prior experience or training in general abdominal ultrasound, OB/GYN, pelvic, transvaginal, breast, carotid/venous studies, and small parts.
- ARDMS certified or ARDMS eligible (must become certified within first year of employment), and must be scheduled to take or have already passed the ARDMS Sonography Principles and Instrumentation Exam.
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
- Must obtain 30 ECE credits, in a three year period, for re-certification.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge and ability to provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues to patients of all age groups, including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
- Microsoft desktop application skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Pay Range: $44.13
