About the Role:

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures on nuclear medicine equipment under the supervision of a radiologist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform imaging procedures on nuclear medicine equipment, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Recognize cross-sectional anatomy and perform scans as needed.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and service, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Utilize RIS/PACS and HIS systems for accurate recording and dissemination of patient results.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of an AMA-approved and accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Recent hospital-related experience, preferably in digital imaging and post-processing PACS.
  • Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (N.M.T.C.B.) or ARRT certification.
  • Current VT state NMRT license and BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Advanced assessment skills pertinent to the specialty area.
  • Ability to evaluate the appropriateness of examinations based on clinical information.
  • Intermediate Microsoft desktop application skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
