Radiology Technologist - Nuclear Medicine

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Nuclear Medicine. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures on nuclear medicine equipment, working under the supervision of a radiologist and the direction of the Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform imaging procedures on nuclear medicine equipment, following scanning and imaging protocols.
  • Recognize cross-sectional anatomy and perform scans and inject isotopes where applicable.
  • Provide service excellence and comply with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Use RIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of patient results.
Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Completed an AMA-approved and accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Recent hospital-related experience, up to one year.
  • Digital Imaging and post-processing PACS experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or ARRT certification.
  • Current VT state NMRT license.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Advanced assessment skills pertinent to the specialty area.
  • Ability to change procedure and/or perform additional studies to evaluate and demonstrate the area of concern, providing optimal diagnostic exams.
  • Ability to evaluate the appropriateness of examinations based on clinical information provided.
  • Ability to plan, organize, set goals and objectives for review and evaluation.
  • Intermediate Microsoft desktop application skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
