Job Overview:
The Production Assembler II is responsible for executing a range of routine mechanical and electromechanical assembly tasks, adhering to company policies and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct various mechanical and electromechanical assembly operations following company guidelines.
- Inspect own work and that of colleagues to ensure accuracy in line with company and customer specifications.
- Handle small components such as ceramic boards, crystals, and fine wires using precision tools under a microscope.
- Perform adjustments, alignments, and soldering of delicate wires to components.
- Utilize epoxies for bonding or sealing parts, employing direct heating methods or ovens while conducting in-process testing.
- Follow process specifications for production within assigned areas, documenting production times and quantities.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with company standards and participate in required events.
- Execute basic welding, brazing, or soldering tasks and operate light machinery as needed.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Regular attendance is essential, with potential for night and weekend shifts as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Certifications: Vocational training or relevant experience in a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years in a similar role.
- Preferred experience in soldering and sandblasting.
- Proficient in mechanical and electromechanical assembly operations.
- Able to work for extended periods under a microscope.
- Skilled in using various hand tools and machinery.
- Capable of reading and interpreting safety rules and operational instructions.
- Good manual dexterity for handling small components.
- Adept at identifying and resolving common issues in the work area.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Acceptable visual acuity is required.
Must be able to perform essential job functions, which may include working in an office or warehouse environment. The role typically requires:
- Standing for extended periods, walking, bending, stooping, or climbing.
- Possible exposure to dust and the ability to lift or push up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Repetitive motions, including pushing, pulling, and grasping with hands.
