Position Overview:
The Production Assembler II is responsible for executing a range of mechanical and electromechanical assembly tasks, working under moderate supervision while adhering to company policies and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct a variety of mechanical and electromechanical assembly tasks following established company guidelines.
- Perform inspections of personal and peer work to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications.
- Manipulate small components such as ceramic boards, crystals, and fine wires using precision tools under a microscope.
- Adjust, align, and solder fine wires to various components as required.
- Utilize epoxies and heating elements for bonding and sealing parts, conducting in-process testing as necessary.
- Document production metrics and maintain adherence to process specifications within assigned work cells.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment in accordance with company standards.
- Engage in basic welding, brazing, or soldering tasks and operate light machinery as needed.
- Consistently demonstrate adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- Maintain regular attendance and be available for variable schedules, including potential overtime.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant vocational training or apprenticeships in a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years in a similar role.
- Proficient in soldering and mechanical assembly operations.
- Able to work effectively under a microscope for extended periods.
- Competent in using various hand tools and machinery.
- Ability to interpret safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Excellent manual dexterity for handling small components.
- Capable of identifying and resolving common issues in the work area.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good visual acuity is essential.
