About the Role

Glidewell Laboratories, a leading dental technology company, is seeking a skilled Precision Mechanical Assembler to join our team. As a key member of our assembly team, you will play a crucial role in installing mechanical components, ensuring the highest quality and precision in our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install mechanical components, such as air cylinders, valves, and flow control valves, according to pneumatic schematics and assembly drawing specifications.
  • Read blueprints to ensure accurate torque setting for screws and proper order of assembly.
  • Install electromechanical components, including electric linear actuators and pneumatic actuators.
  • Route electric cables and air lines from throughout the machine to the controller.
  • Align mechanical components using dial indicators.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace and professional interpersonal relationships with team members.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems during assembly and notify the Manager/Supervisor of complex issues.
  • Work closely with engineering and assemblers to ensure seamless production.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience with precision mechanical assembly, electrical panel building, motor controls, pneumatic systems, sensors, I/O wiring, AC/DC circuitry.
  • Reliability, dependability, and flexibility.
  • Proficient knowledge of computers and Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Solid working knowledge of assembling mechanical components using torque wrenches.
  • Good understanding of fits (press fits, slip fits, etc.).
  • Knowledge of hydraulics preferred.
