Ultrasound Technologist PRN Job Description

Oviedo Medical Center is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist PRN to join our Imaging Services Department. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment, following ACR protocols and radiologists' guidelines to produce diagnostic exams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic exams
  • Follow ACR protocols and radiologists' guidelines
  • Responsible for workflow, including PACS to obtain a permanent record of the examination
  • Assist in the daily operating of the Imaging Services Department
  • Ability to perform routine procedures with stationary portable equipment in all areas of the facility, including the operating room
  • Extensive knowledge of current operation of all departmental equipment, accessories, and procedures
  • Ability to diagnose basic equipment malfunctions and communicate with service personnel
  • Ability to train various staff types in essential job functions and evaluate those functions

Requirements:

  • Currently registered through ARDMS as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
  • Graduate from an accredited program in Ultrasound
