We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist PRN to join our team at Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics SouthEast. As a Radiology Technologist PRN, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians in clinics with patient care activities and other staff members with care of patients in producing high-quality radiographs.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out radiology requisitions and views, utilizing radiographic technique and PACS as needed.
- Memorize what views each physician requires on exams and assist patients in getting into the positions required to get the radiographs needed.
- Take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, using a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
- Stock necessary supplies and ensure equipment is in working order, reporting any malfunctions to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Provide backup support to Medical Assistants, including rooming patients, transcribing, entering tests and procedures, EMR documentation, reviewing initial vital signs, and assisting with minor procedures.
- One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
- One year experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Current ARRT certification or Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BXMO) certification.
- Current FL state licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Knowledge of radiographic technique, PACS, and musculoskeletal anatomy.
- Ability to work independently and have working knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
This position may require travel to and from satellite clinics as assigned. Please note that a valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record upon hire are required for travel assignments.
