Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist NICU Pediatrics

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist NICU Pediatrics to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center.

About the Role:

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will perform critical care and diagnostic procedures for patients of all ages. You will be responsible for setting up and operating various types of respiratory care equipment, assessing patients, interpreting results, and suggesting alternative respiratory treatments.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic respiratory equipment maintenance and quality control measures
  • Assess patients and interpret results accurately
  • Suggest alternative respiratory treatments
  • Exhibit competency in routine patient assessment and recognition of respiratory dysfunction
  • Function as a respiratory care protocol assessor
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU RRT Staff
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for ICU RRT staff
