Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our NICU/PEDI team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a key member of our patient-focused care team, you will be responsible for providing critical care and diagnostic procedures to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic respiratory equipment maintenance and quality control measures
  • Assess patients appropriately and interpret results accurately
  • Suggest alternative respiratory treatment plans
  • Exhibit competency in routine patient assessment and recognition of respiratory dysfunction
  • Function as a respiratory care protocol assessor, delivering therapy and reassessing patients in a timely manner
  • Maintain proper and accurate documentation
  • Provide respiratory support to high-risk deliveries
Requirements
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU RRT Staff
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for ICU RRT staff
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required for NICU RRT Staff
