We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist NICU Pediatrics to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a member of our patient-focused care team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality respiratory care to our patients.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a graduate of an American Medical Association accredited Respiratory Therapy program and a Registered Respiratory Therapist credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). You will be responsible for performing basic respiratory equipment maintenance, quality control measures, and other administrative or technical tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients appropriately and interpret results accurately
  • Suggest alternative respiratory treatment
  • Exhibit competency in the performance of routine patient assessment and in the ability to correctly recognize and interpret respiratory dysfunction
  • Function as a respiratory care protocol assessor by delivering therapy and reassessing patients in a timely manner and maintaining proper and accurate documentation
  • Go to high-risk deliveries to stabilize patients on adequate respiratory support
Requirements
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU RRT Staff
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for ICU RRT staff
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required for NICU RRT Staff
