We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist NICU Pediatrics to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center.
About the Role:As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will perform critical care and diagnostic procedures in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases on patients of all ages.
You will be responsible for setting up and operating various types of respiratory care equipment, assessing patients appropriately, interpreting results accurately, and suggesting alternative respiratory treatment.
Additionally, you will exhibit competency in the performance of routine patient assessment and in the ability to correctly recognize and interpret respiratory dysfunction.
Responsibilities:- Perform basic respiratory equipment maintenance and quality control measures
- Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment
- Assess patients appropriately and interpret results accurately
- Suggest alternative respiratory treatment
- Exhibit competency in routine patient assessment and respiratory dysfunction recognition
- Function as a respiratory care protocol assessor
- Graduate of an American Medical Association accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU RRT Staff
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for ICU RRT staff
