We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our team at Sonora Quest Laboratories. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will be responsible for collecting and processing biological specimens for laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and process biological specimens for laboratory testing
- Ensure accurate patient and specimen identification and integrity
- Enter and verify patient demographics, location, and test information
- Aliquot and label specimens according to established procedures
- Deliver specimens to the technical area in a timely manner
- Assist in monitoring workflow and training of new employees
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of phlebotomy and laboratory procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Additional related education and/or experience
