Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Government Program Management Office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and directing the work of a team of Project Managers, Service Managers, and Lifecycle Engineers to monitor their work and take corrective action when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of employees and contractors located in multiple states and across several disciplines
  • Own responsibility for all aspects of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and serve as primary customer contact
  • Collaborate with customer civilian and contractor administrative and technical staff
  • Plan and distribute work assignments
  • Set objectives and manage the performance to meet the objectives
  • Drives customer solutions
  • Vendor relationship management
  • Interfaces directly with Verizon senior leaders to properly address complex customer requests
  • Perform risk assessments and develop strategic plans to mitigate the risk
  • Monitor support response in regards to Service Level Agreements (SLA) and conduct periodic performance review meetings

Requirements:

  • 10 years of professional experience or Bachelor Degree from an accredited university in a related discipline (Masters preferred)
  • 10 years of Telecom and/or IT Implementation Experience
  • 5 years of relevant management/supervisory experience
  • 5 years of relevant experience with Data Center and High-Speed Networking
  • Significant experience following Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
