Position Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough health assessments and physical examinations.
- Diagnose conditions and develop tailored treatment plans for patients.
- Prescribe medications in compliance with state regulations and professional guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and detailed health records for all patients in accordance with established policies.
- Ensure continuity of care by delivering timely medical services within the clinic's operational framework.
- Provide exceptional customer service through various communication channels to address patient needs.
- Perform minor surgical procedures as necessary.
- Coordinate referrals for patients requiring specialized services not available at the center.
- Review and follow up on incoming medical reports in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all departmental and medical center policies, including quality improvement and safety standards.
- Participate in health promotion and educational initiatives as required.
- Assist in updating clinical protocols and practices as needed.
- Support public relations efforts related to healthcare services.
- Mentor and supervise clinical support staff and students as appropriate.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the medical director.
Qualifications
- Unrestricted State Medical License.
- Current State D.E.A. Certificate.
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
- Ongoing medical education as mandated by specialty boards.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Relevant education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to fulfill the role's responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
- A minimum of two years of experience in primary care with a diverse patient demographic.
- Experience in geriatrics is preferred.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this role include the ability to stand, walk, and utilize hands for various tasks. The role may require lifting up to 50 pounds and involves reaching, bending, and other physical activities. Visual acuity is necessary for patient assessments and the role may expose the employee to varying environmental conditions.
