Position Summary
The Primary Care Physician will deliver comprehensive healthcare services to patients, both in inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves collaboration with the Medical Director to ensure high-quality medical care, adherence to regulations, and alignment with the Center's objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough health assessments and physical examinations.
- Diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans for patients.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with established guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and detailed health records for each patient.
- Ensure continuity of care through timely medical services.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients via various communication methods.
- Perform minor surgical procedures as needed.
- Coordinate referrals for specialized services not available at the center.
- Review and follow up on incoming medical reports promptly.
- Adhere to established policies and quality improvement standards.
- Participate in health promotion and education initiatives.
- Assist in the training and supervision of clinical staff.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Medical Director.
Qualifications
- Valid and unrestricted State Medical License.
- Current State D.E.A. Certificate.
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
- Ongoing medical education as required by specialty boards.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
- Minimum of two years of experience in primary care with diverse patient populations.
- Experience in geriatrics is a valuable asset.
Physical Requirements
The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting. Candidates should be capable of handling various physical demands associated with patient care.
