Position Summary

The Member Relationship Officer plays a crucial role in fostering a high-quality service environment. This position supports the credit union's sales initiatives and assists members with transactions related to all savings and loan products. You will engage with members to provide tailored solutions that meet their financial needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advocate for credit union products and services based on member assessments. Stay informed about all offerings and competitor insights.
  • Process transactions and service requests with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage cash and negotiable instruments, ensuring end-of-day reconciliation.
  • Assist members with various account applications and transactions, including retirement accounts and certificates.
  • Ensure compliance with Customer Information Program (CIP) during account openings and transactions.
  • Provide loan information and applications to members, analyzing and processing consumer loan requests.
  • Communicate the status of pending loans and provide guidance on denied applications.
  • Maintain confidentiality of member information and adhere to security protocols.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives to promote services to members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Performance Expectations
  • Deliver exceptional member service consistently.
  • Achieve targeted new accounts and loan production goals.
  • Adhere to all regulations and procedures related to member accounts and loans.
  • Complete tasks with accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and sound judgment in all interactions.
  • Serve as a reliable source of information for members.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or relevant experience preferred.

Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Office Suite; strong understanding of member services and credit union products.

Experience: Two to three years in branch operations, customer service, and sales experience preferred. Experience in the credit union sector is advantageous.

Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Working Conditions

This position is based in an air-conditioned, smoke-free office environment. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required.
