KFI Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer - UCE to join our team. As a key member of our Utilities and Central Energy group, you will play a critical role in the successful execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and prepare engineering documents and equipment specifications to meet contracted scope of work and ensure code compliance.
- Perform engineering calculations and approve final utilities systems/equipment selections and drawing submittals.
- Lead utilities systems/equipment procurement efforts and manage projects and teams to ensure accurate scoping and estimation.
- Actively manage assigned projects, driving them to completion and providing technical and engineering support to other departments/disciplines.
- Represent KFI at conferences, customer events, and through membership in industry associations.
- 10+ years of professional engineering experience.
- Demonstrated strong proficiency in utilities generation and distribution systems design.
- Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with Designers, Engineers, and sub-consultants.
- Project management skills and knowledge of related tools and processes.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Maturity and self-confidence to work with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to collaborate with others and assimilate a range of ideas, programs, or alternatives into a set of recommendations.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. Professional Engineering registration or willingness to pursue this designation is also required.
