Job Overview

Demand Forecasting

  • Executing 'Purchase Orders' in full truckloads when feasible to satisfy SKU requirements
    • Year-Round: ensuring no stockouts while preventing expired products
    • Seasonal: procuring 50% of the forecast initially and adjusting based on demand
    • Specialty: ordering upon Brand Manager's request
  • Modifying 'Target Days on Hand' per supplier, guided by situational assessments
  • Reducing backordered quantities
  • Minimizing costs associated with surplus inventory
  • Ensuring all items on Purchase Orders are prepped in advance

Freight Management

  • Overseeing and managing all freight-related tasks
  • Coordinating 3PL services where necessary
  • Utilizing UB hauling when suitable
  • Maintaining awareness of supplier-managed freight
  • Efficiently organizing inter-company transfers as needed

Inventory Oversight

  • Collaborating with Brand Managers to identify high-demand SKUs to prioritize and low-demand SKUs to phase out
  • Relocating products within SFC facilities to proactively address demand

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Fostering a commitment and partnership approach with all supplier stakeholders
  • Building strong, team-oriented relationships with Brand Managers
  • Engaging relevant suppliers in VIP Purchase Order management

Data Management

  • Daily updates for SKUs with zero inventory (Close Out & Limited -> Discontinued)
  • Comprehensive daily updates of Purchase Orders in VIP as information evolves
