About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Progressive Community Health Centers, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist dentists and hygienists with various dental procedures, including sterilization and lab work.
  2. Prepare treatment trays and operatory for patient appointments.
  3. Escort patients to and from the reception room and ensure their comfort and relaxation.
  4. Take and record medical and dental histories, including pre-medication requirements and vital signs.
  5. Notify treating providers of pre-hypertensive or greater blood pressure readings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a Dental Assistant Certification program from an accredited technical college or State training program.
  • At least six months of on-the-job training and/or experience in a clinic or dentist's office.
  • CPR certification.
  • Experience in a community health, public health, or community hospital setting is a plus.
