Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team at Dental Care Alliance in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and satisfaction while working in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
• Welcome and comfort patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their visit.
• Provide information to patients and staff by answering questions and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare and deliver instruments to the treatment area, positioning them for the dentist's access, suctioning, and passing instruments as needed.
• Select, mix, and place materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of care.
• Expose and develop radiographic studies, pour, trim, and polish study casts, providing diagnostic information to support patient care.
• Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations, cleaning, and polishing removable appliances.
• Assist the dentist in managing dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions, promoting healthy habits and outcomes.
• Document dental care services by charting in patient records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently to accomplish job results.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements:

• X-ray license
• Experience working as a Dental Assistant or training from a formal Dental Assistant program
