Job Title: Regional Market Development Manager

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Market Development Manager to join our Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing Division of the Life Sciences Solutions Group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive downstream marketing for NGS product lines developed for solid tumor clinical oncology.
  • Build multi-channel coordinated marketing plans for NGS applications, including customer segmentation, competitor analysis, business trends, market opportunities, sales funnels, and staging and pacing of tactical programs.
  • Guide the development of copy and creative content for clinical oncology markets, appropriately positioning products within compliance guidelines, while conveying strong value propositions and clear product differentiation.
  • Develop sales training, customer education materials, and marketing plans in collaboration with product management, global marketing, medical affairs, and commercial teams.
  • Develop a robust lead generation and sales opportunity funnel through promotional initiatives and marketing-led events such as webinars and tradeshows.
  • Maintain and analyze campaign metrics to measure the efficiency of marketing activities.
  • Manage marketing budgets and optimize the promotional mix of campaigns to achieve a high return on investment.
  • Maintain relationships and projects with external collaborators such as customer KOLs, pharmaceutical partners, patient advocacy groups, and sales channel partners.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, genetics, or other related scientific field.
  • Master's degree in relevant scientific field or business administration preferred.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in marketing, sales, and/or molecular assay development with growing scope and responsibility in the genomics, molecular diagnostic, or oncology arenas.
  • Prior sales, marketing, or technical experience with next-generation sequencing technologies and/or oncology diagnostics.
  • Self-starter and collaborative within project teams, and successful track record working in matrix environments.
  • Strong creative intuition on design and messaging that resonates with customers and an ability to learn from previous campaigns to improve on performance.
  • Ability to manage project scope, budget, and schedule to achieve timely results.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Adept with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • A competitive salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00–$140,000.00.
