Job Summary

As a key member of our transplant team, the Dietitian-Transplant Program, PRN, Day will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional well-being of our patients undergoing organ transplantation and abdominal surgery. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop personalized nutrition care plans for patients undergoing organ transplantation and abdominal surgery.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on nutrition-related topics and organ transplantation.
  • Document patient care and progress in medical records, adhering to departmental policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in nutrition and organ transplantation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and/or approved internship program.
  • No previous experience required, but inpatient, outpatient, or community healthcare experience is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) Registration.
  • South Carolina Dietetics License.
