Job Summary

As a Registered Dietitian at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in inspiring health and serving with compassion. This is a full-time, day shift position that requires a licensed, registered dietitian nutritionist to provide nutrition care and education to patients and/or caregiver(s).

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, review, plan, update, and implement medical nutrition therapy to patients according to established policies and procedures.
  • Monitor patients receiving nutrition support and provide nutrition education to patients, caregivers, staff, and community partners.
  • Serve as a preceptor for medical, dietetic, and food service interns and/or clinical research.
  • Participate and serve on interdisciplinary team meetings, patient rounds, multidisciplinary committees, and/or discharge planning.
  • Assist with performance and quality improvement projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an Academy of Dietetics (AND) accredited institution and/or approved internship program.
  • No previous experience required.
  • Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) Registration.
  • South Carolina Dietetics License.
  • Maintain 75 hours of continuing education every 5 years.
  • Ability to interpret data, teach, communicate to other healthcare professionals, manipulate numbers, and write in medical records.
