About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and products that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Utilize your expertise in SolidWorks and other 3D design software to create innovative and efficient mechanical designs that meet customer requirements.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Quality and Reliability: Implement and utilize built-in quality (BIQ) and design for manufacturing (DFM) practices to ensure high-quality products and efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Technical Documentation: Create detailed technical drawings, weldment technical drawings, assembly prints, and specifications to enable production teams to accurately fabricate, weld, and assemble products.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: SolidWorks or 3D design software, GD&T knowledge, project management, communication with suppliers, assembly and manufacturing, sheet metal and weldment design.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and development.
